Our Registered Massage Therapist's at Desert Rose Wellness continue their ongoing education and strive to stay highly trained in their field. Their training includes assessment of soft tissue and joints of the body, the treatment and prevention of injury, pain and physical disorders with massage and education of movement therapy through Pilates.
Education includes comprehensive studies in health sciences such as anatomy, physiology, pathology, kinesiology and neuroanatomy. Other studies include clinical sciences such as manual skills, remedial exercise, hydrotherapy, patient education pilates teacher training. The management of chronic disease, injuries and the effects of long-term stress are a huge part of their training and focus in treatment. RMT's are registered by the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia.

It is well known that massage therapy decreases stress and helps control pain. Perhaps less known is the effectiveness of massage therapy in treating deeper structures of the body such as ligaments, joints, fascia, blood vessels, organs and other soft tissues of the body.
